226/366 - the men - mixing and pouring concrete in the hot sun
I missed that lovely day of sabbath rest I posted about. Everything came together so that yesterday, in all its 90+ degrees wonderfulness, was the have-to day to pour concrete for our deck remodel. (Oh, did I tell you about the dry rot and the unexpected emergency deck repair? Good times.) See those bags of concrete in the truck? 60 pounds, folks - and there were a lot of them to haul up and out and lift into that mixer. Ice packs and ibuprofen today and much thankfulness that I don't have to do that again soon. Also thankfulness for the full time laborers out there who do this kind of thing all week long. You have my respect.
