evangelism of a sort

10/366 - dinner fixings.  Swiss chard, creamed.  Served with salmon and parsnip oven fries.

If I have a choice at the grocery store, I go through the line with the younger checkers.  They rarely know the right codes, and they are completely mystified by my cart full of vegetables, but it gives us a chance to talk about food.  I get to chat about nutrition and they can ask how someone might prepare a huge bunch of greens like that or what the heck a parsnip tastes like.   As I said before, I think the world needs more moms...so I try.
